Our guest today comes from rowing royalty out of Philadelphia. His grandfather was a 3-time Olympic gold medalist and is considered one of the greatest American oarsmen of all time. His father was a 4-time Olympian and 6-time U.S. National Champion who became President of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Yet the Harvard alumnus was a pentathlete before switching to skulling, and holds the varsity team record for the biggest come-from-behind victory in the history of the Harvard-Yale Regatta. The first cousin of Prince Albert is President of the U.S. chapter of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and is in town for National Day and the Challenge Prince Albert II rowing cup. Les bûches de la SBM s'invitent pour Noël

La 15e édition du Concours des Chefs de la Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) s'est tenue au One Monte-Carlo. Sept candidats, dont quatre femmes, se sont affrontés sur le thème : « Le Grand Voyage de Noël à bord du Monte-Carlo Express ». Le premier prix a été remis par Stéphane Valeri à Romain Catala, Chef de partie de l’Hôtel Hermitage, qui verra son entremet 'Escale boréale à bord du Monte-Carlo Express' mis en vente à l'occasion des fêtes de fin d'année.

Conférence sur les premiers Jeux Olympiques de l'Antiquité

776 avant notre ère : c'est la date traditionnellement retenue pour les premiers Jeux Olympiques de l'Antiquité. Une conférence a été organisée à ce propos au Théâtre des Variétés, en présence du Professeur Jean-Paul Thuillier.
