Our guest today is the grandson of the American aviator who in 1927 completed the first solo nonstop transatlantic flight. The gifted athlete was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and disabled by age 30, yet later regained mobility through knee replacements and a breakthrough biotech drug. He went on in 2002 to retrace his grandfather’s solo New York–Paris crossing, raising over $1 million and helping kick-start the private space-flight era with the XPRIZE. As Chairman of the Lindbergh Foundation, he is involved with the Save the Date centennial events celebrating the Spirit of St. Louis on May 21, 2027. Meet Erik Lindbergh.

Les bûches de la SBM s'invitent pour Noël

La 15e édition du Concours des Chefs de la Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) s'est tenue au One Monte-Carlo. Sept candidats, dont quatre femmes, se sont affrontés sur le thème : « Le Grand Voyage de Noël à bord du Monte-Carlo Express ». Le premier prix a été remis par Stéphane Valeri à Romain Catala, Chef de partie de l’Hôtel Hermitage, qui verra son entremet 'Escale boréale à bord du Monte-Carlo Express' mis en vente à l'occasion des fêtes de fin d'année.

Conférence sur les premiers Jeux Olympiques de l'Antiquité

776 avant notre ère : c'est la date traditionnellement retenue pour les premiers Jeux Olympiques de l'Antiquité. Une conférence a été organisée à ce propos au Théâtre des Variétés, en présence du Professeur Jean-Paul Thuillier.
