Gerrit is the co-founder and Transaction Director at PARQ Energy, a fast-growing start-up focusing on renewable energy development in Germany and Poland.

With a development pipeline of +500 MWp and a current portfolio of c. 300 MWp in operation or under construction, PARQ energy records accelerating growth while combining ecological, legal, and commercial considerations during project development, construction, and operation. Besides its natural relation to sustainability as the core of its business model, PARQ is exposed to ESG compliance within its supply chain and with financing.

Gerrit orchestrates all of PARQ Energy’s M&A transactions as transaction director and manages buy- and sell-side processes for PV plants and onshore wind. He is also responsible for the group’s financing activities on the project and corporate levels, having raised more than 60 m€ in the past 1.5 years.

Before his current role, Gerrit worked in M&A and financial advisory for various international consultancy firms and investment banks in the energy and infrastructure segment.

Gerrit graduated with an MSc in Finance (Hedge Funds & Private Equity) from the International University of Monaco, where he was named valedictorian in 2018. Before this, he received a BA in Finance from Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg, Ravensburg, Germany.
