#MEBC2026 Cambridge University Riviera Racing – Communication Prize
🇬🇧 Meet Cambridge University Riviera Racing – Energy Class, N°5
Now in their third year at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, Riviera Racing has evolved from a student startup project into a performance-focused racing team.
For 2026, they’re bringing custom propeller geometries designed with computational software, space-grade solar panels paired with an MPPT converter for smarter energy harvesting, and a fully modular electronics system with swappable microcontroller boards. A digital twin of the boat even assists the pilot with real-time decisions on the water. Engineers, designers and project leaders — one goal: proving clean maritime tech can be both fast and efficient.
