?? | Au cours des deux premières années, en 2016 et 2017, Hydros Team UI a participé au Hydro Contest en Suisse, puis en 2018 au Hydro Contest en France. Depuis 2019, Hydros Team UI participe régulièrement au Monaco Energy Boat Challenge (MEBC). Cette année, Hydros Team UI participera spécifiquement à l’édition 2024 du Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, dans la catégorie Energy, organisée annuellement par le Yacht Club de Monaco.

?? | Oceanos – NTUA a été créé en 2016 et est composé de 70 étudiants de premier cycle issus de diverses institutions. Basée sur le campus de NTUA, l’équipe est organisée en cinq sous-équipes. Ils ont activement participé au HydroContest pendant deux ans (2017-18) et sont impliqués dans le MEBC depuis lors. Leur plus grande réalisation inclut la 2e place au classement général en 2023, avec trois premières places. Leurs objectifs dépassent la compétition, en mettant l’accent sur l’impact plus large des énergies vertes et en contribuant à un avenir durable.

?? | Oceanos – NTUA was established in 2016 and comprises 70 undergraduate students from various institutions. Located at the NTUA campus, the team is organized into five sub-teams. They actively participated in the HydroContest for two years (2017-18) and have been involved in the MEBC since then. Their notable achievement includes securing 2nd place overall in 2023, with three 1st place wins. Beyond competition, their objectives extend to promoting the broader impact of green energy and contributing to a sustainable future.

?? | Le CES UVIGO est une équipe interdisciplinaire composée d’étudiants en ingénierie et de quelques professionnels de l’industrie, originaires de Vigo, une ville galicienne au nord-ouest de l’Espagne. Cette ville ayant des liens historiques avec l’industrie navale, CES a été créé en 2021 avec pour ambition de concevoir un navire entièrement solaire à foils. Pour notre première participation, nous aspirons à stimuler des initiatives similaires dans d’autres universités espagnoles.

?? | The CES UVIGO is an interdisciplinary team comprising engineering students and industry professionals, hailing from Vigo, a Galician city in northwest Spain. With a historical connection to shipbuilding, CES was established in 2021 with the goal of constructing a 100% solar-powered foiling vessel. In our debut participation, we aim to catalyze similar initiatives in other Spanish universities.

?? | L’association Hydrovinci est centrée sur la construction navale. C’est en travaillant dans ce secteur que l’association aide 68 étudiants des trois écoles à développer leurs compétences.
L’objectif principal de l’association est d’optimiser l’efficacité énergétique des navires.
Après 4 années de compétition au MEBC, l’association est entrée dans l’ère de l’hydrogène. C’est avec 28 étudiants de l’école d’ingénieurs que l’équipe tentera d’améliorer les résultats de l’année dernière.

?? | The Hydrovinci association is centred on naval construction. It is through working in this sector that the association helps 68 students from the three schools to develop their competences.
The main goal of the association is to optimise the energy efficiency of sea-going craft.
After 4 years of competing in the MEBC, the association has entered the Hydrogen era. It is with 28 students from the engineering school that the team will try to improve the results from last year.

? Why have you decided to join the Monaco MBA?
Professionally, I have been looking to expand my career internationally, but I have not had the opportunity with previous roles. While I can’t change the past, I can change the future, so I researched English programs with a solid international cohort and faculty. That is how I found IUM, where even the location is an internationally diverse profile. In class, global and cultural dynamics are part of the curriculum, and I am also working on team projects with students worldwide. The international exposure and opportunities have exceeded my expectations and are a highlight of my time here in Monaco.

? What are the strong features of this program?
IUM created a program incorporating marketing, finance, business, luxury, economics, global policy, entrepreneurship, strategy, and more. The classes build on each other to support the concepts and practices presented to provide a well-rounded and complete package. Each professor is a leader in their field, very passionate about their area of expertise, and clearly enjoys sharing their wisdom and knowledge with us. In addition to teaching, most also work in the area where they teach and share their global experience. They are also great people who consult with us on business ideas, provide travel insights, or enjoy a fun lunch discussion.

? What do you like the most in your IUM journey?
The Monaco experience has been fantastic. I have met amazing people at the school and the Principality who have access to the broader European experience and mindset and are surrounded by innovative thought leaders in the heart of luxury. I could not have this experience at the school in my hometown. My worldview has grown and made a positive, lasting impact. Monaco must be experienced in person.

David has over 25 years of experience in agency and Fortune 100 corporate marketing, where he has grown his expertise in leadership and delivering tangible results. Prior to IUM, he earned a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
