In collaboration with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in France and Monaco, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Dubai Expo 2020 and in partnership with Monaco Inter Expo, the Monaco Economic Board invites you to discover the unique opportunities offered by the United Arab Emirates. The focus will be on Dubai Expo 2020 but also on the Monaco Pavilion, the ideal playground for the various sectoral economic missions that the MEB will be organising on this occasion.

En juillet 2011, l’athlète sud-africaine Charlène Wittstock s’unit au Prince Albert II et prend place dans la longue et prestigieuse histoire des Princesses de Monaco. Les collections et les archives du Palais Princier permettent de retracer le parcours de ces femmes au destin exceptionnel, d’origines italiennes, espagnoles, américaines, belge ou françaises, comme Charlotte Catherine de Gramont, dont le contrat de mariage avec le Prince Louis Ier est signé dans la chambre du Roi Louis XIV en 1659, ou encore Caroline Gibert de Lametz, qui épouse le futur Prince Florestan Ier en 1816 et dont l’influence sur le développement économique et touristique de la Principauté sera considérable. Toutes ont, chacune à sa manière, contribué au rayonnement de Monaco.
Mais la Princesse Louise-Hippolyte, héritière de la lignée au XVIIIe siècle, est la seule femme à avoir régné sur le pays. En 1920, la Princesse Charlotte épouse le Comte Pierre de Polignac, issu d’une famille ancienne de la noblesse française. Elle renoncera ensuite à ses droits au trône en faveur de leur fils, le Prince Rainier, qui accède à la souveraineté en 1949. Sept ans plus tard, le mariage de Rainier III et de la comédienne Grace Kelly ancre Monaco dans une nouvelle ouverture au monde. Et refonde sa légende.

In July 2011, the South African athlete Charlène Wittstock married Prince Albert II and became part of the long and prestigious history of the Princesses of Monaco. The collections and archives of the Palace of Monaco enable us to retrace the careers of these women of exceptional destiny, of Italian, Spanish, American, Belgian or French origin, such as Charlotte Catherine de Gramont, whose marriage contract with Prince Louis I was signed in the bedroom of King Louis XIV in 1659, or Caroline Gibert de Lametz, who married the future Prince Florestan I in 1816 and whose influence on the economic and tourist development of the Principality was considerable.
